Gatherings Rooted in Connection

Workshops, retreats, collaborative builds, seasonal celebrations, and community-led experiences woven through land, forest, and shared creation.

At Rootsong, gatherings are collaborative, seasonal, and shaped by relationship.

This land is not a performance venue or a production space. It is a living place, forest, soil, birds, wind, garden, and people learning to move together with care.

We host retreats, workshops, building projects, children’s programming, and community-based events in partnership with experienced teachers, facilitators, and leaders. Rootsong provides the space, the land, and the holding container, and we collaborate with those who feel called to guide.

Each gathering is different. What connects them is intention, presence, movement, nourishment, and a respect for the living world around us.

Retreats & Immersive Experiences

Rootsong is available as a host site for intimate retreats and immersive gatherings, from weekend experiences to week-long seasonal containers.

We collaborate with skilled teachers, doulas, facilitators, and space holders to co-create experiences that feel grounded, embodied, and thoughtfully paced.

Retreats here may include:
• Yoga and breathwork
• Shared meals and fire circles
• Movement and expressive practices
• Forest walks and spacious reflection
• Skill-sharing and hands-on learning
• Community living experiences

Our intention is not to over-program or overwhelm. We value balance, movement and stillness, expression and integration, community and solitude.

Participants are invited to leave feeling nourished, connected, and more at home in their bodies and in the natural world.

Healing-Centered Gatherings

Healing here is embodied and relational.

Experiences may include walking, breath, bodywork, movement, expressive art, sound, and supported processing. We believe healing is not only about speaking, it is about allowing what lives in the body to move and be witnessed safely.

We collaborate with experienced facilitators who bring skill and sensitivity to these spaces, creating containers that feel grounded, supported, and human.

Community Builds & Skill-Based Gatherings

Rootsong also hosts collaborative builds and hands-on gatherings.

This spring, we are partnering with experienced builders to offer a multi-day community yurt raising and platform build experience. Participants may join for a full immersive experience or attend for a day, a meal, or a portion of the project.

These gatherings are rooted in:
• Skill sharing
• Practical learning
• Intergenerational connection
• Collective creation
• Celebration through shared work

Families are welcome to witness and participate in ways that feel accessible and aligned.

More details and dates will be shared soon.

Children’s Camps & Youth Programming

We have hosted small summer camps focused on building, nature immersion, creativity, and play! We look forward to expanding this programming through collaboration with experienced educators.

Children gather here to:
• Learn hands-on building skills
• Explore forest and land
• Create together
• Move, play, and connect

We believe children thrive when given space to move, create, and belong.

Future camp dates will be shared on the calendar below.

Community at Rootsong

Community here means chosen family, built gently and intentionally.

It includes the people who gather, the forest that holds us, the animals, the soil, and the more-than-human beings who live here.

We gather through:
• Shared meals
• Music and creative expression
• Seasonal celebrations
• Collaborative projects
• Informal connection

Healing here includes the planet. Care for land and care for body are not separate.

This is a place to practice tending one another and the living world.

  • Join us for a special gathering at Rootsong as we come together to raise a yurt that will become a future community space on the land.

This immersive, hands-on event invites participants to experience the process of building something meaningful together. Over the course of several days, we will collaborate to assemble the platform, frame, and structure of the yurt while sharing meals, stories, and time outdoors in community.

Whether you come for a single day or stay for the full experience, the yurt raising is an opportunity to connect with others, learn practical building skills, and participate in the creation of a space that will serve as a gathering place for future workshops, yoga, bodywork, and community events at Rootsong.

The event will weave together elements of collaborative building, time in nature, shared meals, and moments for movement, reflection, and creativity. Guests can expect a relaxed and welcoming environment where people of all experience levels are invited to participate.

This gathering is open to those who feel inspired to lend a hand, learn something new, or simply be part of a meaningful moment in the growth of the Rootsong community.

As the structure rises, so does the intention behind it, creating a space where people can gather, learn, and reconnect with one another and with the land.

More details, including dates, schedule options, and ways to participate, will be shared soon.

  • Join us for a gentle yoga hike through the forests and trails of Rootsong.

This guided experience weaves together mindful walking, moments of yoga and breath, and quiet pauses along the trail to connect with the natural rhythms of the land. As we move through meadow paths and wooded trails, we will occasionally stop to stretch, breathe, and explore simple yoga postures that support ease, grounding, and awareness.

The pace of the walk is relaxed and welcoming, allowing space to move slowly, notice the surrounding forest, and reconnect with the body through natural movement. No advanced yoga experience is needed, this offering is designed to be accessible to anyone who enjoys being outdoors and exploring movement in nature.

Rather than a traditional class held indoors, this experience invites yoga to meet the living landscape. The forest becomes the studio, the trails become the path of practice, and the sounds of birds, wind, and trees guide the rhythm of the walk.

Participants can expect a calm and welcoming atmosphere where movement, breath, and nature come together in a simple and restorative way.

  • Join us for a simple evening of shared food, conversation, and connection at Rootsong.

Our community potlucks are an open invitation to gather around the table, meet new neighbors, and spend time together on the land. Guests are invited to bring a dish to share, and together we’ll create a meal that reflects the diversity, creativity, and care of the people who gather here.

These evenings are intentionally relaxed and welcoming. There is no formal program, just space to share food, stories, music, and conversation while enjoying the gardens, forest, and open air of Rootsong.

Potlucks are one of the many ways we nurture the spirit of community here. They offer a chance for people to meet, build relationships, and participate in the living ecosystem of this place, where people, plants, animals, and the surrounding forest are all part of the larger community.

Whether you’re new to the area, visiting the land for the first time, or already part of the extended Rootsong community, you are warmly welcome.

Bring a dish, bring a friend, and join us for an evening of good food and good company.
